Luca Ionesco's Dainese leather design.

Via: trendhunter
"Dainese, a famous manufacturer of protective gear for motorcyclists and active sports enthusiasts, combines the worlds of auto and fashion in their tattoo-inspired Limited Edition Tattoo Ykz. racing suit from their 2009 collection.

Dainese commissioned Australian artist Luca Ionesco to create the intricate tattoo designs which feature ancient Samurai prints and Maori patterns.

This unique design is the product of a technologically advanced laser system that combines white kangaroo skin and Lorica (a Latin word literally meaning body armour) in a single “sandwich”. The working and stitching process permits the creation of the tattoo effect on the Lorica on the outside that is literally “stripped away” to make the underlying designs emerge."
